CICS Internet Connectivity

The biggest problem faced by a CICS/Internet architect is the number of possible ways to connect CICS to the Internet.  The following section outlines possible ways to connect CICS to the Internet.

There are three ways to connect CICS systems to the Internet: 

1. Directly to a CICS region on an MVS host; 
2. To a MVS web server running on the same MVS image as a CICS region; 
3. To a web server on a separate machine (e.g. AIX, NT, OS/2) that is connected to the CICS host.
