Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from project initiators and sponsors

The role will be based in our facility in East Kilbride. The purpose of this position is to provide excellent service and ‘contact experience’ for the customer within designated set of accounts to meet the customer’s pricing, delivery and quality requirements. Exceed customer expectations and deal with all aspects of account management.


Main Duties/Responsibilities


•           Ensure accurate and ‘winnable’ quotations are delivered to the customer within agreed timelines, whilst at the same time identifying missing information to quotation process

•           Input customers forecast information accurately into IFS Demand Planner Model and identify forecast accuracy/risks

•           Confirm order lead time with customer and work with Operations to ensure on time delivery of products and samples is met

•           Communicate regularly and proactively with customers to develop relationships and maximize further business opportunities with them at all times

•           Coordinate with the Quality Department dealing with customer complaints and taking ownership for delivery of satisfactory resolution

We now have a vacancy for a Quality Technician reporting directly to the Quality Manager.  The role will be based in our material coating facility in East Kilbride.  The purpose of this position will be to manage and perform incoming goods testing; support the manufacturing and technical team with problem solving activity (including data collection and analysis); support the quality team in customer complaint investigations.


The ideal candidate will have an interest in the chemistry of materials and the mechanics of equipment operation.  This will either stem from previous industry experience or further education.


There are opportunities to develop in this role within the business, either through the quality or engineering routes.

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support manufacturing team with in-process quality testing;
  • Support the quality team during the investigation of customer complaints, through sample collection, testing and data analysis;
  • Support process engineering team during process improvement activity;
  • Monitor performance of new in conjunction with Technical and R&D teams and ensure handovers are completed effectively;
  • Incoming goods inspection using a variety of testing equipment;

The Role:


The primary aim is to improve the business units’ performance (& overall the organizations performance) through the careful & skillful program management of a number of key projects that that CCL have developed over many years, by working in partnership with our Strategic Customers.

Much of the company’s success has been founded on its ability to deliver technical excellence throughout the entire product development process, from concept design through to full industrialisation. The McGavigan business, now trading as CCL Design – Intelligent Decorative Technologies, aims to engage with its clients at concept design phase, offering support ranging from advice on material selections and finishes, product design optimisation and feasibility recommendations, tooling design and construction, product trialling and sample prove-out, right through to full-scale industrialisation and automation.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The role assumes overall responsibility for the efficient running of the tooling department in the UK site, covering all aspects of planned tool maintenance, workload planning, staff training and development, and providing technical support across the site process engineering function to maximise production efficiency.


Day-to-day duties cover the following:


  • Managing a site-wide tool preventative maintenance programme, including management of spares and consumable materials.
  • Scheduling work plans for the tooling engineering staff.
  • Providing, when required, technical guidance to the tooling department on fault finding, diagnostics and corrective activities.
  • Staff development and training, including overseeing apprentice training and mentoring.
  • Management and implementation of best-practice working processes and procedures within the department.

Skills/Qualifications
  • It is essential you have extensive knowledge and experience of injection mould tool making, and will most likely be a time-served tool maker who has gained at least three years in a supervisory capacity, either managing a tool shop, or from a tool making organisation.
  • You will be familiar and comfortable with analysing tool CAD/CAM and be able to identify areas of optimisation and design to aid tool maintenance and efficient life expectancy.
  • As a team leader you set the standards, so you need to be a good communicator, comfortable building a positive can-do spirit across the team.
  • You will be naturally meticulous, with a good eye for detail, and an ability to encourage a common approach department-wide.

The McGavigan business, now trading as CCL Design – Intelligent Decorative Technologies, aims to engage with its clients at concept design phase, offering support ranging from advice on material selections and finishes, product design optimisation and feasibility recommendations, tooling design and construction, product trialling and sample prove-out, right through to full-scale industrialisation and automation.


The Role:

The company is looking to recruit experienced engineering professionals with extensive knowledge of single and multi-shot plastic injection moulding processes, covering injection tool design and manufacture. Ideally, they will have some experience of inmould decoration and/or polyurethane over moulding (PUR) processes. They will also be experienced in project management in a customer facing role. In the course of the job, the positions will require some international travel, meeting with clients, suppliers and other production sites, as well as our technology collaboration partners.


These roles are an integral part of the client facing business development group, working alongside the sales team to build collaborative client relationships, and to support business growth through developing engineering solutions that help match customer needs. This includes participating in the group product and process development activities, covered by our Technology Council activities.

Background and qualifications:
  • You are likely to be a university educated graduate in a mechanical design and engineering/polymer engineering discipline with at least five years practical working experience in the plastic injection moulding and decoration disciplines, or a suitably experienced candidate coming up through a related technical apprenticeship in the same disciplines.
  • A good working knowledge in parametric design tools and the use of predictive tools such as Moldflow are essential.
  • You will have been in a customer/supplier facing role, and will be able to demonstrate good communication skills at both a technical and conversational level.

Purpose of Role


We now have an entry level vacancy for a Quality Control Inspector reporting directly to the UK Quality Manager. The purpose of this position will be to carry out Customer AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) inspection for critical parts (labels) as an integral part of the quality control process, support process auditing and data entry on various databases.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Inspect sample parts to Inspection Criteria
  • Adherence to work instructions and job documentation at all times
  • Take sample parts from batch as per AQL sampling plan
  • Data entry
  • Maintain and assist in continual feedback loop that enhances information and develops team skill base with particular regard to any identified product failures
  • Escalate issues to Quality Engineer/Quality Manager/Production personnel as appropriate
Co-ordinate with production and logistics personnel to ensure customer shipment dates are met

Qualifications / Experience / Skills


Whilst previous experience in an inspection / manufacturing role may be advantageous, the following skill-set is preferable:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good numeracy skills (minimum of National 4 or equivalent)
  • Competent IT skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work on own and prioritise workload

Hours of Work: The role is shift based operating from 6:30 to 22:50 on an alternate early shift / back shift pattern. Flexibility will be required to modify this during periods of high customer demand.

POSITION SUMMARY:


This position will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of Key Accounts that are in the Automotive, Electronics and Appliance markets. The Customer Service Representative will be the point of contact for the customer and will assist in any customer needs (i.e. inventory, vendor managed inventory, on time delivery, scorecard relations). To provide timely, attentive and positive service to the customer and making sure that their needs are met in a matter that reflects positively on the company.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of service to the customer.
  • Receive and process Purchase/Sales Orders and customer forecasts
  • Day to day ownership of the Customer VMI System and Customer on time delivery ratings
