Web Developer & Digital Experience Specialist

We’re looking for someone who can blend creativity with technical expertise—someone who loves building websites, supporting digital marketing campaigns, and ensuring our web systems remain secure, high-performing, and impactful.


This will be a hybrid model combining remote and on-site presence in East Kilbride.


Main Areas of Responsibility

Design & Development
  • Build, enhance and maintain the CCL Design website and other web-based business systems.
  • Turn business requirements into high-quality, functional digital solutions.
  • Ensure all development follows ISO27001-compliant processes.
Digital Marketing Support
  • Translate graphic concepts into fully functioning web content.
  • Create SEO-optimised pages with well-structured metadata.
  • Manage and improve content through our CMS (including Umbraco Heartcore).
  • Develop digital assets including graphics, video and presentations.
  • Monitor and optimise site performance using Google Analytics and other tools.
Technical Support & Cyber Security
  • Provide troubleshooting, support, and administration for web-based systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT Technical Team to maintain a secure, robust web environment.
  • Protect website content during development and post-launch.
Content & Digital Experience
  • Support the creation and editing of video and imagery for digital channels.
  • Help deliver engaging online experiences that align with our brand strategy.

Skills Required

  • Higher education qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong front-end web design skills: HTML5, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Experience with CMS, especially Umbraco Heartcore.
  • SEO-focused design and development experience.
  • Back-end development skills in ASP.NET (VB/C#) and SQL Server.
  • Database design and experience with web security technologies.
  • Understanding of website analytics and optimisation metrics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
